Russian Disability Rights Advocates Tour Union Station

On November 1st, in collaboration with the Maryland Leningrad Sister State Committee and the Open World Leadership Program of the Library of Congress, USRC was honored to organize a tour of Union Station for a group of disability rights advocates visiting from St. Petersburg, Russia. The tour commenced in the station’s glorious Main Hall and then proceeded to the metro, the train tracks, and the bus deck. Many thanks to representatives from WMATA, Amtrak, and Megabus for joining the tour and explaining their companies’ policies and initiatives with regard to persons with disabilities. All participants and speakers had a good time and learned a lot.
