On March 2, 2017, Union Station Redevelopment Corporation hosted the official unveiling of the Rostral Columns at a ribbon cutting ceremony. In spite of the blustery, cold wind, there was a good turnout.

The following people delivered remarks:

• Colleen Hawkinson, District Department of Transportation (DDOT)

After the rousing speeches, the red ribbon was cut by:
