Intercity Bus Terminal Project

In only seven short months, January 2013 – July 2013, the Intercity Bus Terminal saw radical improvements. Development of 1,000sf waiting area, restrooms, and construction of a 350sf retail pavilion and 150sf information center pavilion as well as new directional signage and landscaping transformed the terminal to meet the needs of a transportation mode servicing 15,000 passengers on a peak travel day.

Union Station now serves as a central hub for the east coast operations for Greyhound, Megabus and Bolt Bus. DC2NY and Washington Deluxe also run a notable portion of their operation from this location. These new facilities will provide year-round amenities to over 2.5 million bus travelers passing through Union Station. With this improvement, Union Station has raised the standard for patrons of inter-city bus service, and created a facility that compliments the historic Union Station.
