“Lives Shatter on Impact” Street Smart Safety Campaign Exhibit

From April 18 to 24, 2021, Union Station will be host to the “Lives Shatter on Impact” exhibit. This informative display, which will be on the east side of the Main Hall, is part of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Street Smart Safety Campaign. The objective of “Lives Shatter on Impact” is to remind drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists about the importance of watching out for each other. The exhibit shares heartfelt testimonials from area residents whose lives have been upended when they or their loved ones have been struck by drivers. The display features an educational wall with written stories and photographs, as well as a large video screen showing short films and photos from across the region.
