LaJuana Jones, Union Station Parking Garage (USPG) Senior Project Manager, and Pedro Fonseca, USPG Bus Deck Facilities Manager, participated in the American Bus Association Annual Meeting and Marketplace in Grapevine, TX from January 8 to 11, 2022. The industry’s premier business event for the travel and tour community features tour operators, suppliers, and exhibitors. LaJuana and Pedro took part in educational seminars, learned about upcoming regulations that will affect the travel and tour industry, connected with colleagues, and made new contacts.

At their booth, LaJuana and Pedro met with tour operators and provided information about Union Station, including the transportation options, retail, restaurants, station tours, public events, and marketing and parking opportunities with USPG. With bus parking being so limited within the District of Columbia, they want to ensure operators are aware that they can park their buses at Union Station, while availing of various eating and shopping options in the same building.

Additionally, LaJuana had 75 requested appointments for information on the services at Union Station and the Bus Deck facility. LaJuana and Pedro appreciate the feedback they received from the travel and tour community and look forward to taking part in the event again next year in Detroit.
