Union Station Coronavirus Update

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and in accordance with advice from the CDC and the DC Department of Health, all public events at Union Station are canceled until further notice. A number of retailers and eateries remain closed of their own volition. Those that are open, including Walgreens, may have limited hours and service. Public transit to and from the station is continuing, but all modes are operating with reduced service. We recommend you check the various company websites and social media directly.

While in the station, please practice social distancing, ensuring you stand six feet apart from all other customers and employees. In addition, it is recommended that face coverings are worn in Union Station. For most transportation modes and in many waiting and queuing areas, stores, and eateries, people will be required to wear masks.

The station is open to the public from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. In order to ensure the safety and security for all people passing through Union Station, the number of access points is limited. Please use the Main Hall, First Street NE metro, and parking garage entrances.
