From March 2022, there are cherry blossom murals, created by local artist Jaleel Davis, on display on the glass near Läderach and Uniqlo (the former Magnolia and Verizon spaces) in Union Station.

Jaleel has over 30 years of experience in visual arts and was one of 25 artists selected to decorate a cherry blossom sculpture for the 2021 National Cherry Blossom Festival. The artwork he submitted for the 2021 Art in Bloom competition was chosen by the Embassy of Japan to be one of three sculptures featured in the Enid A. Haupt Garden adjacent to the Smithsonian Institution Building on the National Mall. Later, Jaleel’s sculpture was purchased by the owner of the Washington Spirit soccer team and it is now located at Audi Field.

Jaleel is a graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and a Virginia firefighter who created the Arlington County firetruck logo in 2008.
