Atlas Obscura Tour of Union Station a Success!

On July 16th, in collaboration with Atlas Obscura and the National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP), USRC President and CEO Beverley Swaim-Staley and Archivist Sarah Mayersohn led a group of 26 people on a behind-the-scenes tour of Union Station. In addition to stops in the West, East, and Main Halls, the participants were taken to areas usually not accessible to the general public, including:
• the Presidential Suite,
• the balcony area to see the Roman Legionnaires up close, and
• the H Street Bridge underpass.

The tour participants really enjoyed learning about the station and its history. Many thanks to all who attended. Atlas Obscura, NTHP, and USRC hope to organize another tour later this year.
