30th Anniversary Celebration of Union Station’s Reopening

September 28, 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the reopening of Union Station following the 1980s restoration. USRC, Union Station Investco, and Special Events at Union Station are working together to put on a small celebration. All day long, thanks to some members of the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area LEGO® Train Club (WamaLTC), passersby will be able to see a LEGO® model of Union Station and the railyard, complete with moving trains. Also, there will be an exhibit of photos from the 1980s and present day. You can see what the Main Hall, East Hall, West Hall, Retail Concourse, and Food Court were like before the renovation compared to how they look now.

As well, we are delighted to announce the following performances:
1:00 pm –  Stuart-Hobson Middle School Choir
4:30 pm – Shannon Dunne Dance Company

Come one, come all to what is sure to be a great commemoration.
