The h3 Project is hosting a special event “Painting Out Addiction: Make an Impact on DC’s Opioid Crisis” on Wednesday, September 29th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Columbus Plaza on the south side of Union Station.

Washington, DC is currently ranked third in the United States, per capita, for opioid-related overdoses. This epidemic is not just on the streets; there is an alarming increase in prescription-related overdoses.  The h3 Project hopes to change these devastating statistics by bringing awareness to the crisis while encouraging community members to recognize the signs of addiction and become Naloxone-certified.

At the event, you will have an opportunity to create your own piece of art while listening to Dazzling DJ Johnny and visiting tables of local resource providers. Free food and schwag will be provided and there will be a free raffle every 20 minutes.
