The inaugural History of Union Station Tour took place on September 15, 2018. It was so successful that Union Station Redevelopment Corporation is offering this tour again on November 3rd and December 1st. When asked for feedback on the September tour, John, a participant, said “This tour offered a great nexus for me. I love old buildings and am fascinated by trains.” He also mentioned, “I have already recommended this tour to several people.”

If you are interested in learning about Washington, DC’s Union Station, please join us for a tour on Saturday, December 1st. Your tour guide will take you inside and outside beautiful Union Station and impart knowledge on the history of this amazing landmark. You will hear about Daniel Burnham’s vision, the station through two world wars, the 1980s restoration, present-day endeavors, and much more. Additionally, during this special December tour, you will be treated to views and anecdotes of the wreaths at the main entrance and the train and the holiday tree (an annual gift from the people of Norway) in the Main Hall.

Additional Information:
• This tour will involve a fair amount of walking.
• We can offer free vouchers for those who park in the Union Station parking garage.
