Union Station Bus Deck Pavilions Featured in ArchDaily’s Top 100 American Architecture Projects

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of ArchDaily, the architecture research website highlighted 100 works of architecture in the U.S., featured between 2006 and 2016, which were most visited by their readers. These 100 works are considered important case studies and references for millions of architects, students, and journalists who seek the most relevant, inspiring works of American architecture.

Included in this prestigious list was none other than the Union Station Bus Deck Pavilions designed by Studio Twenty Seven Architecture. In 2012, Union Station became the new central location for intercity bus travel in Washington, DC. The new bus transit center, located in the parking garage, provides amenities to bus travelers without requiring them to leave the bus deck.

“‘Cause in my head there’s a Greyhound station
Where I send my thoughts to far off destinations
So they may have a chance of finding a place
Where they’re far more suited than here”
