Restoring the Historic Guardians of Union Station

Join the National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP), in collaboration with Heineken USA and Union Station Redevelopment Corporation (USRC), as we kick off a restoration project inside the country’s greatest multimodal station. With your generous support, we will launch an important pilot project to renovate four of Union Station’s 46 historic Roman Legionnaires that will guard its grand public spaces for many years to come.

By focusing on the four Legionnaires in the West Hall of the station, we will demonstrate how easily these iconic pieces of the building’s history can be brought back to life. This action can build the momentum needed to restore the remaining 42 statues, putting the final touches on the Main Hall restoration.

When you contribute to our campaign, you will have a chance to claim some awesome perks, such as:
• two tickets to the Bruno Mars: 24K Magic World Tour (the DC concerts will be at Verizon Center on September 29 and 30, 2017),
• a Cities Campaign T-shirt,
• a one-year subscription to NTHP’s award-winning, quarterly magazine Preservation, or
• an exclusive illustration of Union Station in all its glory.

This fundraising campaign will end on June 30, 2017. For full details on how you can support this exciting project and what you can get in return, please click here.
