On Sunday, June 4th, USRC President and CEO Beverley Swaim-Staley hosted a group from the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital (GSCNC) at Union Station. GSCNC CEO Lidia Soto-Harmon, 2 product sales staff, and 13 members, who were top cookie entrepreneurs (collectively selling over 36,000 packages of cookies), enjoyed lunch at Shake Shack and then were taken on a tour of the Main and East Halls, including the Presidential Suite. The young ladies were quite impressed that there is real gold on the ceiling in the Main Hall. The outing ended with a ride on the streetcar. The Girl Scouts had a great time learning about the beautiful, historic station.
